Jim Daech

For the last seven years I
have been President of Daech and Bauer Roofing and Remodeling. My main day to
day responsibilities include managing and overseeing the programs and staff for
the sales, marketing, accounting, finance, MIS, and office operations. It’s
been very exciting to participate in the growth of the company over this time
frame and witness the continuous improvement of our operation at all levels. I
can confidently say that we are the most professional roofing company in the ST
Louis area and that the best is yet to come.
Prior to working full time at the company I was employed as a field claim rep
for over 4 years with the leading insurance company in the country. This
experience enhanced my understanding of the legal, insurance and customer
service aspects of business. Those skills are utilized regularly to provide
additional value to our customers and operation. This level of professionalism
has been brought to our company and allowed us to excel in an industry with a
less than stellar customer service record.
I was born and raised in Collinsville. My youth was very active playing various
sports. Upon high school graduation went to college at the University of Nevada
Las Vegas graduating with a degree in Finance in four years. I lived in the
fastest growing city in the nation for approximately 6 ˝ years. That
environment exposed me to many economic and cultural experiences not possible
in the Midwest.
I currently live in Edwardsville with my wife and three children. My
hobbies include golfing, boating, traveling, politics, economics, scuba diving
and flying.

I joined the Daech and Bauer team over 4
yrs ago after leaving TWA/American airlines as a pilot. My airline career
taught me how to handle tight schedules, attention to detail, and to remain
calm in emergency situations. As Director of Operations, I try as hard as
possible to make sure all jobs get completed in a timely and satisfactory
manner; if something does come up I will do what needs to be done to make it
right. Our company’s reputation and image in the marketplace is our very
important to us, as part owner of Daech and Bauer Roofing and Remodeling I want to make
sure our customers are happy with the quality product we are providing.
Being born and raised in Collinsville, I can appreciate sharing the good
midwestern customer relations that many ‘big city’ companies do not share. Our
customers are not just a number to us and are encouraged to call any of our
staff anytime they have a question or concern.
After graduating from Metro East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville,
I attended St. Louis University and earned a Bachelor of Science in
Aeronautics. I currently live in Maryville with my wife and two children and
enjoy flying, golf and boating.
