About Us

Daech & Bauer Roofing and Remodeling, Inc. is the
culmination of a lifelong dream for Jim Daech and Mike Bauer. They are 4th
generation Metro East residents with parents that instilled in them strong
Midwestern values of hard work, honesty, and ethical dealings in exchange for a
fair profit.
Owning and running a contracting company has been a lifelong dream of Mike
Bauer. Throughout his childhood and college years he continuously worked in the
construction arena, expanding his knowledge of this field. After his stint in
the US Army reserves, Sergeant Bauer graduated from Southern Illinois
Carbondale with a degree in History.
Jim on the other hand was religiously devoted to understanding the business
world. He graduated with a BSBA degree in Finance from University of Nevada,
Las Vegas and studied numerous successful businesses in the fastest growing
city in the nation. After years of talking about this business, the dream
became a reality.
In May of 2006, Mike left Daech and Bauer to pursue a career in law
enforcement. Today, he is a police officer for the Collinsville Police
Department.
Jeff Kosten joined our organization over four years ago. He enjoyed helping the
business succeed and believed in the growth so much, that he is now a part
owner of the company, in addition to being the Director of Operations, and
holds a seat on the Board of Directors. Jeff received a Bachelor of Science
degree in Aeronautics from St. Louis University. He previously was a pilot at
American Airlines and brought the many skills learned in that trade to
enhancing the logistical aspects of running a premier roofing company.
